Peer review in all its forms plays an important role in ensuring the integrity of the scholarly record. Our referees play a vital role in maintaining the high standards Multidisciplinary Cancer Investigation and all manuscripts are peer reviewed following the procedure outlined below.
All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff and those papers that seem most likely to meet our editorial criteria are sent for formal review. Manuscripts rejected at this stage are insufficiently original, have serious scientific flaws, have poor grammar or English language, or are outside the aims and scope of the journal.
We operate double blind reviewing. In this type of peer review, both the referee and author remain anonymous throughout the process. The pre-publication history of each article will not be made available online in MCI Journal. There are two other peer review types: Single-blind that reviewers know the names of the authors, but the authors do not know who reviewed their manuscript unless the reviewer chooses to sign their report and Open peer, that authors know who the reviewers are, and the reviewers know who the authors are. If the manuscript is accepted, the named reviewer reports are published alongside the article. Different journals use different types of peer review. You can find out which peer-review system is used by a particular journal in the journal’s site.
